How does Platinum Nutrition Coaching work?

You’ll be coached and supported from the comfort of your own home. I will work with you on an individual basis to improve your nutrition, fitness, and habits to help you lose weight and live a happier and healthier life. The programme is tailored to your needs to ensure it fits in with your lifestyle, work, and family commitments. Contact can be via my coaching app, text/WhatsApp, email, and via Zoom.

Do I need to be really technical to do Online Coaching?

No! If you can use email and Facebook, you will be absolutely fine! I use my coaching app to deliver my programme; it’s a great way for us to share information with each other and track your progress. It is very simple to use once you get the hang of it! I aim to make it as simple as possible.

I’m really unfit and haven’t exercised for ages (if ever), will I be okay?

Absolutely! First off, it’s entirely up to you if you want to exercise as part of your programme – some of my clients choose not to, and we just work on nutrition. Many of my current clients had never done any exercise before – we all start somewhere! My coaching programme is fully tailored to YOU, so it takes into account your fitness level and experience level.

I have an injury or medical condition, will I be okay?

This will depend on the nature of your injury or medical condition. There are always ways to adapt exercises, and many of my current clients find they can continue with their programme despite having an injury or medical condition. However, I strongly recommend speaking with a medical professional (your GP or a physiotherapist) before increasing the level of physical activity that you are currently doing or making changes to your diet.

I am overweight, will I be okay?

You will most likely be absolutely fine, and you’ll find that starting a programme with me is a brilliant way to help you become a healthier weight and more body confident. You are not alone – the majority of the people who start working with me want to lose weight. If you are medically obese, then you should always check with your GP before making changes to the level of physical activity that you are currently doing.

Do I need to buy any gym equipment?

If you want to exercise as part of your programme, you may find it useful to invest in some dumbbells, a kettlebell, and a resistance band. However, you won’t need to buy everything straight away! Your programme can be tailored around what you have (even if that’s nothing!) so you can get started straight away. You can also pick gym equipment up, fairly cheaply, from eBay and Facebook marketplace.

I’ve never used weights before, will I be okay?

Yes! I specialise in weight training and absolutely love showing people how to use weights to change their body shape. Lots of my ladies had never picked up a dumbbell before starting with us, and now they absolutely love lifting weights. They love how it makes them feel stronger and they love achieving new things. I’ll make sure you use safe, correct, and effective technique. You can send me videos of your technique, and I will analyse them for you. My app also provides you with video demonstrations for all the exercises on your programme.

Who do your online programmes work for?

My online programme works for anyone who follows the advice I give and embraces the changes I ask them to make! I help people do the deep work needed to make lifelong lifestyle changes, rather than quick fixes or fad diets, as I know that this is the best way to get results.

I’ve tried gyms, diets, and workout plans before, but they didn’t work. Does online coaching work?

My clients feel better about themselves very quickly, and I empower people to make changes and live a healthier lifestyle. If you follow the advice I give you and follow your personalised plan, you will lose weight, tone up, feel fitter, stronger, and more body confident. I will support you every step of the way and keep you accountable, but it will be down to you to put the effort in.

How quickly can I expect to see results?

Honestly, this will depend on you. If you’re willing to commit 100% and make positive changes to your life with my help, then you will see changes from the word ‘go.’ I can guarantee that, from the first time we speak, you will feel great and ready to make some positive changes.

I want to get started straight away, how much is it?

Platinum Nutrition coaching is £185 per month, on a monthly rolling basis. I recommend a minimum sign-up of 3 months (at least) to see and feel changes. It can take some time to change deep-rooted behaviours and habits around food, so it’s important to recognise that this journey can take time. I don’t offer a ‘quick fix, bikini body’ programme – I want to do the ‘deep work’ needed to help you lose weight for the last time, and keep it off for good.

What qualifications do you have?

I’ve worked in the fitness industry since 2001. I have a First Class Degree: BSc (Hons) Exercise, Physical Activity & Health Science from The University of Salford. I am an MNU Certified Nutritionist (Pass with Distinction). I am a Level 3 Personal Trainer, hold a Level 3 Qualification in Pre & Post Natal Programme Design, and a Level 2 Award in Counselling Skills. I also hold many other fitness industry and health qualifications. I am fully insured to offer Nutrition Therapy, Personal Training, Health & Lifestyle Training, Weight Loss Counselling, Weight Management, and Wellbeing Guidance.
