About

Welcome to Kelly McFie Nutrition!

I specialise in helping busy ladies break free from yo-yo dieting, feel fitter, healthier, and more body-confident with online nutrition coaching. I help women lose weight for the last time and teach them how to keep it off – for good!

I’m Kelly McFie, the owner of Kelly McFie Nutrition, and I started my business in 2014.

My journey in the fitness industry began in 2001, working in health clubs and gyms across Tameside, Manchester, and Cheshire. In 2007, alongside my fitness industry role, I joined the NHS Health Improvement Service, assisting patients in changing their health behaviours, whether it was losing weight, quitting smoking, or becoming more physically active. Over the years, I have helped hundreds of people achieve their goals of living a healthier lifestyle.

I hold a First Class Honours Degree in BSc Exercise, Physical Activity & Health, and I am a fully qualified Personal Trainer. My extensive qualifications in Weight Management, Fitness, and Nutrition include becoming an MNU Certified Nutritionist in May 2021, where I achieved a Pass with Distinction.

After the birth of my son in 2010, I struggled with an eating disorder while losing my ‘baby weight.’ I received intensive CBT and compassion-based therapy as an NHS Outpatient for six months. This experience fuelled my passion for creating a supportive environment for women to exercise, have fun, and lose weight healthily and safely. A place with no judgement, no cliques, and no negativity – where your goals and dreams truly matter.

This vision led to the creation of Fitness Works (that’s what my business used to be called), which started as a mobile personal training service. I travelled all over Tameside and Cheshire in my trusty Fiat Panda, affectionately known as ‘The Panda Bear,’ training clients in their homes, gardens, and garages.

Eventually, I offered training from a private gym in Stalybridge, before opening Fitness Works Denton in 2016. In 2018, we moved to fabulous new premises in Ashton-under-Lyne, where we stayed until the Coronavirus pandemic forced us to close our doors in March 2020.

This transition allowed me to support my clients virtually, discovering a new and effective way of working that suited busy ladies exceptionally well.

With 23 years of experience, qualifications, and client success stories, I launched my Online Coaching service, offering 1:1 nutrition coaching.

With my industry experience, qualifications, and personal journey, I believe my online coaching programme is perfect for helping busy ladies lose weight for the last time and break the cycle of yo-yo dieting in a healthy, fun way that fits their lifestyle, work, and family commitments.

I am a huge believer in self-compassion, self-kindness, and unconditional permission to eat all foods. I provide evidence-based nutrition guidance – no fad diets, no BS, and no ‘miracle’ supplements, cleanses, or juices.

My clients see me as more than a weight loss coach; they often describe my programmes as a “lifeline.” I genuinely care about my clients and their goals, and I do everything I can to help them get to where they want to be.
